Welcome to the website of the Home Hill Rotary Club, we are very pleased that you have visited our website. If you would like to join us for a meeting we meet each Tuesday night at 6-30pm at the Malpass Hotel 8th Avenue Home Hill.
Home Hill is situated on the south bank of the mighty Burdekin River and is an irrigated agricultural area that is dependant mainly on the sugar industry. Our irrigation comes mainly from the magnificent aquifer that exists in our area. More can be learned about that aquifer by visiting the local “Power Station Museum”. Our Club was chartered in 1959 and we received our Charter on the 25th June of that year.
Home Hill Rotary Club is a small active service club, our major projects have included Arch Dunn Memorial Park and Mount Inkerman Lookout. Most of our fundraising is carried out during the local “Harvest Festival” we run regular fundraisers including the Harvest Festival Ball and the Steak Stall during these celebrations. We enjoy monthly social nights which follow a different theme each month. Our partners are an integral and much valued part of our club.
Members are keen to share the fellowship of Rotary with others. If you would like to learn more about us and our club give any member a call or drop us an email so we can invite you along to a meeting.
